Allen's insurance career began in 1975 with American International Underwriters Ltd. He later held senior positions in an international insurer where he was responsible for the Group’s operations.
Allen currently oversees the operational aspects of the Group’s marketing and underwriting activities, and agency channel development.
Co-founder of Inter-Asia Underwriters Agency established in 1983, Arthur was mainly responsible for Inter-Asia's overall marketing and operation function until the company's formal merger with Apex in 1989.
Arthur is responsible for Group’s finances and overall strategy in the corporate and direct business.
Philip began his career in 1973 at the Insurance Agency Department of the Heng Seng Bank Ltd. He joined Pan-In Insurance Co Ltd in 1979 and established Technical Insurance Consultant Ltd in 1983, later merging with Apex in 1991.
Philip is currently responsible for the Group’s overall administrative and servicing function. An active and keen marketer, Philip spends a fair share of his time generating direct business for the group of companies. Philip is the current Chairman of the Professional Insurance Brokers Association (PIBA). He served as an Elected Member of the Eastern District Council for over 15 years and was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) for civil service in 1998.
Mr Jimmy Poon joined APEX Insurance in 2021, who is responsible for management, developing and overseeing business sales, operations and marketing strategy.
Jimmy has nearly 40 years working experience in the insurance industry and has held senior management positions in various international and local general insurance and life assurance companies. Prior to joining APEX, Jimmy was the CEO of Dah Sing Insurance Company (1976) Limited and Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited.
He has over 30 years of experience in general insurance with expertise in sales and marketing, underwriting, business and product development, management and reinsurance. He is also a specialist in motor and EC insurance businesses.
Additionally, Jimmy has been actively participating in various industry organizations. He is currently a Member of Industry Advisory Committee on General Business to the IA, Travel Industry Council and Motor Insurers' Bureau of Hong Kong, and was the Chairman of HKFI Governing Committee for the term 2014/2015 and the ECIRSB Chairman for the terms of 2017-2020.
As a recognition to his contributions in serving the industry and the public, he was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) by the HKSAR Government in 2018.
Andrew is primarily responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Corporate insurance brokerage department, and oversees the Group’s overall investment strategy and portfolio. Prior to Joining Apex, he spent 5 years with JPMorgan in Hong Kong and was previously with Standard Chartered Bank. Andrew graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in 2010.
